2nd Test, Day 4: Match report
Jason Gillespie of Australia appeals successfully against Mohammad Sami. The Pakistan batsman was adjudged leg before wicket on 11 and was the first wicket to fall in the morning.
Pakistan resumed their innings on 85 for five and were bowled out for 163.
Australia kocked off the required 126 runs in 27.5 overs for the loss of opener Justin Langer's wicket. Matthew Hayden and Ricky Ponting guided Australia to a nine-wicket win, which clinched the series for the home side, on day four of the second Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
This was Australia's record fifth series win in 2004.
