The Calypso King is back!
Lara rejoices after breaking the world Test batting total record. He passed Matthew Hayden's 380 on the third day, almost exactly 10 years after he hit a then-world mark of 375 against England on the same ground.
Very soon, he became the first cricketer to reach the milestone of 400 runs in a Test innings.
"The reaction has been great. I had a call from my Prime Minister (Patrick Manning) and also one from the golfer who has just finished second in the U.S. Masters, Ernie Els, who is a good friend of mine," Lara said after the day's play.
